Wedding Excitement!
Oh, what a weekend Hitty Jean has had! There was a rehearsal at the Martha-Mary Chapel:
The bridesmaids and groomsmen were all there, along with the betrothed couple and their parents….It was all very exciting and chaotic, and brought over a year of planning to fruition. The Bride’s Mother was a bit overwhelmed by this, so she and Hitty Jean had a quiet, reflective moment together by the Grist Mill before heading to the Rehearsal Dinner:
The following day was Wedding Day! Such Joy and Relief that it was one of only a handful of perfect Wedding-Weather days New England has had this May! The day was a blur, with so much happening, building up to the main event. First there was lots (and lots!) of primping:
Then there was some beautiful lace:
And a portrait with the bride – before even the groom had seen her:
Hitty Jean was thrilled to be a flower girl, though she was a bit tiny to walk down the aisle and was instead carried (discreetly) by the Mother of the Bride. And – oh, my – there was a horse and carriage ride, some beautiful, witty vows, a harp playing, and lots and lots of festively dressed guests from all over the world! Hitty Jean admits she was a bit overcome by all the excitement! When asked what her favorite part of the wedding was, Hitty Jean had a hard time deciding. She loved the Bride and Groom…and the dancing…and all the love amongst friends and family…but she has to admit that the Anniversary Cake* – being almost Hitty Sized – also comes in at the top!
Congratulations, Maisy and Oles! We love you!!!
‘Til Next Time..
❤️❤️❤️
*Anniversary Cake – Replacing the custom of saving the wedding cake’s top layer to eat on the first anniversary, an Anniversary Cake is a small, two serving replica of the full-sized cake. (Minus the fresh flowers!) Pretty cute!

Thank you, Kjerstin! We really did luck out with the weather! Non-stop rain most of the month with a few horrendously hot days thrown in for good measure!

What a lovely setting for your daughter’s wedding. She is so lovely, and the wedding gown is so sweet. It does not seem like enough years have passed since she was a little girl and now a beautiful bride. Oh my. Hitty Jean is lovely in her flowergirl dress, too.
Blessing to the whole family.
